It is the 10th year in a row, when Gubkin Russian State University if Oil and Gas assigns its students after the third year of studies to the practical training in the RTC “Testing and Diagnostics”. During July the leading specialists conduct the training of the students on the ultrasonic and visual testing. The students learn basics and practical methods of the application of the non-destructive testing for objects of the oil-and-gas complex. And, although such services are not cost-effective from the financial point of view, the policy of the RTC “Testing and Diagnostics” is to provide our industry with real professionals owning not only the “quality certificate”, but also the real knowledge and practical skills. Many students come after their graduation at the university to the RTC “Testing and Diagnostics” in order to obtain a real 2nd level and become the true professionals.

  

 

The Research-Training centre “Testing and Diagnostics” is planning to take part in the 17th international conference “Modern methods and means of non destructive testing and technical diagnostics”, held from 5th till 9th of October in Yalta, Ukraine (http://www.conference.kiev.ua/conference.htm ).At the previous conference was raised a proposal about the creation of the Association of the body on the personnel certification in non-destructive testing of the former USSR countries and Bulgary. The tasks of the Association could be: the development of the common approach to the problems in the accreditation, interpretation and harmonization of the application of the personnel certification standards in non-destructive testing, such as EN 473, ISO 9712, EN 4179, ISO 11484, EN 10256, development of the code of ethics for the certification bodies, joint execution of the examiners training and other tasks.
